Challenge

Slow down vehicular traffic and increase pedestrian safety on a City of San Antonio street section through the historic Our Lady of the Lake University campus.

Solution

The Coyle team prepared a Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA), approved by the City of San Antonio, that allowed the four-lane street to be reduced to a two-lane road through the campus.

Services Provided

Coyle Engineering is currently preparing construction plans for the conversion of 24th Street from a four-lane street to a two-lane boulevard with enhanced landscaping, public transportation stops, signalized pedestrian crossings and utility relocations.
